Journey: Co-Op That Stands The Test Of Time

Content originally posted to Instagram on June 25, 2020. It's currently April 2021 as I re-post this to the blog, but what I wrote about back then remains the same even now.

Even if it’s been years since I last played Journey, I can still attest to it being one of the greatest “random” co-op gaming experiences one can ever go through. I recently re-played it on the PS4, but I thought I wouldn’t run into anyone because it’s an old game. Turns out that wasn’t the case 😌

The last time I played it was around high school actually. It’s weird...back then, all I wanted to do was get done with school so I could leave my hometown and move on to “bigger” things in life. For me though, I came to realize that the things in high school I was really fond of would be largely missing from my life afterward (whether it was college or post-college). It’s a little sobering…but that’s just how the JOURNEY is (bad joke, I know). The world is moving onward, and we can never really go back to how it was before. So that’s the direction I ride in: onward.

Ironically, I’ve been back in my hometown for a long time and am really looking toward new possibilities, like moving at some point heh. Not like anyone can go anywhere for the time being, so all I can really do is wait for the opportunity while continuing to work on myself 🥋

Game screenshots were taken during my playthrough of Journey (PS4).
