"Code Name: X": Persona 5 Was Bigger Than I Thought

EDIT - 2023: WOAH HEY this is a real game after all and not a fake game like so many assumed!!! It just took 2 more years to finally get to this point...I KEPT THE FAITH THOUGH.
Ever thought about how popular a game you like is…in a part of the world that isn’t yours?? If anything, the situation surrounding “Code Name: X” (an official but prematurely revealed mobile spin-off of Atlus’s “Persona 5” by Chinese developers Perfect World Games) has made me realize how little we know about gaming fanbases around the world.
Case in point: Persona 5 and Atlus recently had an official presence at “Bilibili Macro Link 2021”, a live event in Shanghai hosted by, well, Bilibili (a HUGE Chinese video sharing site). During the event, the audience was treated to a live performance of P5’s “Life Will Change” by Lyn! And while it’s a great performance, it also helped me see that P5 probably has a sizable fanbase in China. No heart is safe from the Phantom Thieves!
I suspect that Atlus making moves in the Chinese market means that they’ll be revealing “Code Name: X” for it (and the rest of the world?) very soon as part of the Persona series’s 25th anniversary 😎
Thanks to Persona Central for uploading the video!
