Voice Of Cards Demo: Worth Trying Out!

The homie @inspiredfatty put me onto the demo for Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, an old-school RPG styled like a tabletop card game (so visually, the game’s world is made of cards, and those cards are laid onto real-world surfaces like trays or the floor).
If you’re a Nier or Drakengard fan, you might want to give the demo a try (out on PlayStation, Switch, & Steam) because a bunch of key staff from those series are involved! That includes people like Yoko Taro, who’s serving as creative director, and Keiichi Okabe, who’s handling the music.
As you can see in the first picture, there are still surprises to be found even if it’s just a demo. Todd Haberkorn's voice as Game Master (for the English audio) sets the mood perfectly as well, and I personally felt the visuals to be refreshing and creatively implemented. All in all, I came away from the demo with a sense of excitement for the full game — maybe you will too 😄
(Ironically, Voice of Cards ended up being my first “Yoko Taro experience” when I’ve had an unplayed copy of Nier: Automata ever since I first got my PS4 2 years ago…now I’m definitely giving Nier: Automata a go before the year’s end)
