Marvel vs. Capcom: Left In The Past, Still For The Future

Sharing some thoughts about Marvel, Capcom, and Marvel films/TV shows that’ve been in the back of my mind for a long time. Playing Marvel vs. Capcom 3 recently gave me the final push to actually write them out!

I always wanted to play MvC3 growing up, and when I finally tried it 1-2 years ago, I was hit with the disappointing truth…I’m TEEEERRIBLE at it (I tried MvC2 when I was younger too, and it was the same w/that game 🙃). It’s been harder to wrap my head around how it plays compared to other fighters, even when I have experience with a “high-speed, air-mobility-heavy” game like Melty Blood. But every now and then, I get an itch to re-visit it and end up learning something new.

(BTW to all the MCU fans: yeah, I know that monster in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer is Gargantos and not Shuma-Gorath. But Gargantos in the comics seems to be a minor Namor villain, and apparently Marvel Studios can’t use the name “Shuma-Gorath” because of some copyright issues (ya gotta look it up). So…that’s SHUMA-GORATH in everything but name. Can’t tell me otherwise 😏)

Anyways, onto my thoughts...
